Wondering why we haven’t recommended Amazon’s Kindle for the holidays? Well, it’s been sold out since week one and it’s rather pointless to recommend something you can’t get before the end of the year, right? In case you’re desperate to find one for that lucky geeky bookworm of yours you’ll have to pay a premium. They’re going for double the normal retail so break out that piggy bank.

Sold Out Kindles Going For $1,000 On Ebay [TC]

  • I justed looked on eBay and I honestly can’t believe the prices that the Amazon Kindle is going for.

The Amazon Kindle is a worthless device. The premise of having hundreds of books available on an electronic device any time for your reading pleasure….has been around for YEARS! In fact, I have been doing the same thing for some two years before the Amazon Kindle was released on my HP Jornada 540 and then on my Palm TX….and my computer and my laptop and my cell phone (yes, my actual dial-calls-to-other-people cell phone).

The fact that this thing has been rolled out as ‘innovative’ and that people are actually lapping it up at $400 seems somehow like highway robbery to me.
