The Samsung t819, which we first mentioned a couple days ago as an FCC leak, has leaked a bit more, this time giving us full stats from T-Mobile. While no exact release date is given, we have the vague “January” time frame now, which is in line with what we’ve been hearing.

It’s tight mid-range package, with a passable 1.3-Megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, full IM client, myFaves, and many other basic features. And while the leaked doc says nothing about it’s 3G status, we know about it from the earlier link. So does this phone act as a harbinger of 3G networks yet to come?

We have no idea, as T-Mo is mum on its plans, but we do know one thing: if it doesn’t kickoff it’s 3G network damn soon, they’re going to wind up an also-ran.

  • I hope T-Mobile is not going to try to “WOW” the subscribers with such pieces of junk. If they want their 3G to be worth the 4.5B they spent on the spectrum, they better release KICK A** services to compliment the network; i.e. FULL video calling, 3G PC cards, and GOD FORBID try to block any ports and of course at a reasonable price (such as the current $19.99 for unlimited net browsing via phone or tethered and Hotspot. I would absolutely hate to see T-Mobile follow their path in 3G the way they have been doing so far with VERY poor selection of phones.
