Definitely worthy of a CrunchGear post!

Blake it is more than just this announcement. My sources have been proven correct so far in providing this very info well ahead of this official announcement. MORE details that have yet to be announced:

1. Peter Jackson will indeed DIRECT.
2. The second Hobbit movie will be based on Tolkien's notes that provided the basis for The Silmirillion and The History of Middle Earth Series - that is where the content will come from. He CAN and WILL use these notes as he did for LOTRs.
3. The two Hobbit movies will be filmed in Live Action and Performance Capture Digital 3D.
4. The original Lord of the Rings trilogy will be re-released in 3D.

For more details on this and other 3D movies, check out www.marketsaw.com - that is all I do, 3D motion pictures and technology!

Creating a film of the Silmarillion would be nigh impossible. How do they expect to split The Hobbit into two stories?
