Are you seeing any problems with it? Issues? Concerns? Pains? Suffering? A sense of ennui? Is it too slow? Too fast? Too sexy for this shirt? We want to know!

Drop us a line in comments or at tips @ crunchgear dot com.

  • Clean and simple, I like it.

  • I find the website to be much too fast. Its really bothersome just how fast its become. I kid I kid! But one thing I do find really annoying is the “related posts” paragraph at the end of each post. It takes up way to much space and is completely pointless. If I really wanted to find related posts, then I would search for them. Could you at least make it like a drop down menu with a little arrow next to it? All I want for Christmas is a hidden “related posts” menu, Crunchgear. Please?

  • Too grayish for me, which makes it too dark at the same time…

  • I prefere the old one … this one is too dark.

  • I like it…Great Job!

  • Works for me! If nothing else, it’s very clean and easy to read.

  • I like it better but miss the orange – all the grey is a little depressing!
It seems faster on my install of Firefox and I like the new comment system just fine – keep up the good work guys!

  • I think it’s a vast improvement in speed and layout. Seems that there’s more stories per page too? Still wish there was a better way to get back to where I was within the stories after I post something…

  • I liked the orange, the gray is drab.

  • Not bad. CSS could use some work though. I won’t pick apart a color scheme, Science knows as a real man, I could care less and wouldn’t have a good suggestion anyway so I’ll leave that to the “straight guys with that special eye”.

    - The grays create a border on the page except for at the top and bottom and doesn’t frame it in (like a racing stripe through the page).
    - The TechCrunch Network section looks like an afterthought and really throws off the continuity of the page flow.
    - The Ads are mixed in with and separating real links. Once again, like an afterthought…though I’m sure that wasn’t :) Whatever you do, use a little more consistency in displaying them (verts/horz – white bg/ trans, w/frame or w/o frame, etc. again “consistency”)
    - The “Resources” box is the same as the footer, is it necessary?
    - The “BFF” box should have it’s own “Most Commented” and “Last Commented” or whatever tabs.
    - Even out the space used as well as minimize the wording for the tools under the Search box. With an Email icon right there, “Subscribe by email” is repetitive and redundant, not to mention repetitive and redundant.
    - Make the Date in the title a search onclick that returns all the posts for that day.

I’ll stop now, as always, just trying to be helpful!

    • Sorry, couple more…

      - The Yellow boxes’ borders appear to be smaller on the rights than the rest.
      - Drop the thick borders and use single pixel ones (the thick ones don’t quite work).
      - This is just me but I’d go more “Google” and replace as many image links with just text ones (just me).

  • I like it.

I noticed when posting a long word (super long) and/or a link when commenting…. the link goes off the ‘page’.

    see: http://www.crunchgear.com/2007/12/16/nyko-upgrades-its-handy-ps3-controller-charger/#comments

    for example.

actually…if i’m right, that link should be an example as well. and go –>>> that-a way

  • Looks great. I like it. I like the “notify me of follow up comments via e-mail”

    Simple feature, but nice.

  • I really like the sez-who application.
Now i know who sez it… an it was yo mama!!!
LOL! crunchgear should feature LOLcats every once in a while!

  • I just noticed the sez-who thing and signed up, pretty cool. now I can find the posts I made previously to see if anyone smack talked my post (biggs….)

Oh yeah, a suggestion of sorts kind of yeah actually…

right now on the main page and the rest (1, 2, 3, etc) you can only select the page by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page. Would it be possible to put it at the top as well as the bottom? Some times I like checking on topics that I know are a few pages back, and to scroll all the way down each page gets kind of annoying.
