Microsoft, in the true spirit of Christmas, has slashed the price of its wireless steering wheel for the Xbox 360 by $30, bringing it to $99. The wheel works with “all of the most popular racing games” for the 360 and, according to IGN, is the wheel to get if you’re “serious about racing.”

One does wonder why Microsoft released PGR 4 when it did, pitting it up against the likes of Halo 3, Orange Box and the other half-dozen AAA titles that have come out in the past few weeks. It seems to me that they should have delayed it till February or so, then they’d have more shelf space all to themselves.
