RIM seems determined NOT to hit a "grandslam" with their devices; GPS, QWERTY, WiFi and Camera/Video. They seem insistent on leaving out one or more of these features in their smartphone "solutions". So frustrating. And as you point out, its almost 2008; I don't buy that it can't be done. Not all hippies are like that, and most would be against his approach. Hell, most of my friends would call me a hippie and I'm a total gadget-head. I just don't let them rule my life, which is what your professor was probably against. I don't approve of his way of going about it, but the message behind it was as good as any.
