It was never a real camera. How could anyone take that tiny LCD seriously. The best guesses I have heard is that the D90 will be a prosumerized D300, just as the D80 was mostly a D200 under the skin. My bet is that the body will be very close to the D80, but with 3" LCD, preview, and the d300 sensor with anti-dusting. Nikon make too much money from their vertical grips to give them away. Included, it would put the D90 at too high a price point for it's specs. The D300 doesn't have a grip included.
