GPS used to track Jesus this Xmas

babyjesus2.jpg

While there’s Xmas irony in people stealing statues of Baby Jesus™, it’s something that’s been done for years. But the organizers of one Florida nativity scene are mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore.

Their Baby Jesus™ keeps getting ripped off, even after they nailed it down (again with the Xmas irony), so they’re fitting it with a GPS tracker so that, if stolen again, they can track down their Jesus.

To quote:

I don’t anticipate this will ever happen again, but we may need to rely on technology to save our savior.

Happy Holidays, CrunchGear readers!

I think the most ironic part was that a Jewish lawyer paid for it all.

Yeah, the one lady used some Yiddish word (mensch?) to describe the guy who paid for it all.

I hope they catch the people who were stealing those things…seriously, who would do that?

That’s not to say that I’m not guilty of similar crimes. A couple weeks ago at my fraternity one of the Jewish guys decided to put up an inflatable menorah. Not only was it tacky, but he decided to put it right next to the Christmas tree. That menorah seemed to have its own feet, as it ended up hidden all over the house. One of the brothers even went so far as to stuff it in the dumpster. Still, we did it all as a joke and we never actually destroyed it. We always made sure it found its way back to its owner.

Besides…committing a crime against Jews has no consequences. Jews don’t believe in Hell apparently. Now stealing baby Jesus…that’s a recipe for eternal damnation!

Jews believe in hell because it is in the Old Testament. I think its great a jew had the heart to do that. Jews and Christians are identical in faith except for that small baby Jesus technicality…and Sammy David Junior.
