Dru at Gearlive saw him some 1.1.3 firmware and discovered:
The ability to send an SMS message to multiple people is now there
* Google Maps application can now pinpoint your location using cell tower triangulation
* Google Maps can now display the Hybrid map view
* You can now drag and drop application icons on your home screen
* The home screen supports pagination
* You can now add web bookmarks to your home screen
The server is hosed, but it looks like Apple is ramping up for third-party apps.

Hosed Gearlive

Wow, sounds like they just caught up to the blackberry. Congrats Apple!
So, can you reorder applications? I wish this was out already.
Holy shit, I’m retarded. I just reread that, and it’s in the article.
Where is MMS? Where is better searchable contacts? Where is being able to synch with more than one PC or at least manually add and remove tunes from different pcs? How come no one ever bitches that you cant use the IPOD portion of the iPhone with nearly any of the accessories out there?
I like the iPhone, but I have to agree, Blackberry is so much better at this point. If they dont catch up with some basic stuff soon, this thing will be found on craigslist…
Blackberry? come on guys Nokia were doing this when Blackberry was just a pager!
As for the Google Maps I’ve had the “My Location” feature on my Nokia for a couple of months now, and Orange in the UK have been able to provide localised information on their mobile website for a good 2 yrs, this isn’t leaping head; it’s catching up with technology thats been doing it for ages…
best not to mention MMS…
Anyone to develop that iPhone location-based Social Network for my development firm, FaceySpacey.com.
