It beats the heck out of pulling my MacBook Pro or my lenovo ThinkPad just to check email, movie times, IM or even VoIP using Gchat in coffee shops or cigar bars or even the local Wendys! Skype isn't quite ready for Maemo OS2008, but when they are it will be an awesome integration. Once develops hop on the OS2008 bandwagon and start porting their apps there, it will quite a trinket to have. Keep in mind...it is not a phone. The PIM is very lacking (use gmail/google or some other online app to manage your contacts!). Word and Excel are non-existent....again use Google Docs or Spreadsheet. Accessories are a bit lacking for this device, but the iGo Stowaway BT keyboard is a must if you want to get down to xterm sessions on this device. I’ve had this in my hand for over a week now!
