Sennheiser releases first untethered Kleer wireless earbuds

I pray that Kleer actually takes off but after seeing ideas like this try and fail to gain traction — Zigbee, anyone? — I’m a little dubious. Anyway, Sennheiser just launched the first Kleer compatible headphones which allow you to listen to any Kleer-enabled MP3 player and even share your music with others.
The MX W1 headphones are completely untethered, which means each of them look like a little Bluetooth headset and are not connected by a wire like the RCA model. They will be available in May 2008, no pricing available.

Wireless is nice, but when one of these is gone it’s gone, so you should better keep your eyes on them…

Weren’t they telling us that untethered earbuds were simply impossible due to the need to sync both sides of the music? :P funny how impossible it is now…
anyways, glad to finally see this hitting the market. :D

Ah yes, it’s just a matter of time until we have wireless earbuds small enough that we can have Jack Johnson in one ear and our professor in another. Too bad I graduated.
