Why it’s cool: Because it plays both high-def disc formats, hopefully leading to less confusion on the consumer’s part. It’s fully compatible with the new Blu-ray Bonus View, aka Profile 1.1.
I must have missed/skipped/or just not paid any attention to the news about the Blu-Ray Bonus View. But after a few minutes of research I’m totally caught up now! And it seems pretty cool. I don’t care too much about bonus stuff unless it’s a movie I really like (and with Blu-Ray prices, I only buy movies I really like), so this will be interesting to see.
