The X7900 is a solid processor and the 8800m GTS is definitely a cut above the rest. But when you compare it to the Factor Gaming X-91 (http://www.factorgaming.com/Gaming_Laptop_X-91.php), it really is left in the dust. The X-91 starts at less than the P-171XL, and comes with a 3.16GHz processor and a 9800m GT, which is significantly faster than the GTS. It's just a better overal deal imo. Not taking anything away from the Gateway, though. It's nice to see more competition in the gaming laptops market! The P-171XL is a decent deal. I mean it might be in the gaming market but not for normal laptop gaming users, but I suppose if you're going to buy something like this you're not "normal" . I've had such terrible experiences from Gateway I would NEVER buy another one, i have owned HP and Dell's for the last eight years and will never go back, Unless they start putting poop in the disc drives, although I would probably just clean it out and continue on with my computing needs.
