"Who needs 'Tagging' for HD radio?"

"No 'HD tagging' required. No HD radios required, in fact. Why buy a new radio in order to tag your songs when you can do it on an iPod right now?"

http://www.hear2.com/2008/02/who-needs-taggi.html

"And the good ideas keep on coming..."

"So let me understand this... HD radio has been reduced to being a storefront for iTunes? So I listen to my HD radio, tag the songs I like, download them to my iPod, and listen to my iPod rather than my HD radio, right?"

HD Radio doesn't even work, with dropouts, interference, and poor coverage. The HD channels are just bland, robotic playlists - what a farce.

All the flying saucers I've seen are *round*. This isn't. Some of the other JBL speakers are, though... maybe you meant that.

HD Radio simply hasn't become ubiquitous yet, but I'm guessing within a few years, it'll actually gain some traction, especially once it's in cars and portable devices. I have an table HD Radio from Cambridge Soundworks, and I discovered that in NYC, it's just as difficult to get an HD signal as it is with analog radio... that needs to be addressed too.

Interesting blog you've got!
