...

It supports 3D, compiz and so on with ATI, through the restricted driver thingie.
Wireless works kind of perfect here, but others might have problems.
Open office can open MS-access files, it's just called connect instead of open. It opens powerpoints dias shows as well, even though it might show the drawings funny.
There are quite okay tools to configure the touchpad? and the cursors, themes and all that stuff is easily configurable in the Themes dialog.
Adobe have released a flash player for linux, it's not really behind the windows/mac version. What's the problem ?
Suspend and hibernate does work and laptops. I've never encountered a problem, but that said I can't guarantee that there isn't one.

I do not understand why Ubuntu is so great, apart from its philosophy.

- Does not support ATI cards well (no 3D, no compiz)
- Wireless is tough.
- OpenOffice lacks substantial features (can't open MS Access files, Powerpoint-like application is just bad)
- Customization! Can't resize all icons at once. Can't resize desktop font size. Can't rename with a slow left click. Can't easily configure touchpads or curors. Themes are a mess.
- Opensource plugins are a disaster -- flash, movie players
- Need knowledge of xorg.conf and terminal -- this is not an "it just works" operating system
- No double-clickable .eml files!? Weird.
- No suspend or hibernate on laptops!!!

This stuff is basic! C'mon ubuntu! I still stay with you because I believe in your philosophy, but this lack of features is killing me!
