I personally haven’t had any durability issues with my MacBook Pro and it’s been literally around the world – not to discount what you’re saying, I think maybe the MacBooks are a bit more beat-up-able. Maybe if they titanium-ize the macbooks, they’ll beef them up a little bit to make them equal to the MacBooks.

I just don’t see an aluminum MacBook happening. I think it would kill sales for families and schools. The aluminum MacBook Pros are pretty, but far from durable. My wife’s white MacBook, on the other hand, has withstood all kinds of beatings that would have made a MacBook Pro look like a crumpled piece of aluminum foil by now – including my toddler standing on it more than once.

1440×900 at 13″?? That’s like a murder attempt on my eyes. the 1280×800 is already on the edge.

I doubt it. They announce MacPro-updates. But that updates already happend!
