I think you are right, i have cox also, i have been caught 2 times now and they say if it happens again they will end my service, im thinking of switching to another isp, and everyone i talk to about what happened say they have never heard of anything like this before, but i guess im not the only one.I went to the router home page and there was a warning and my service was cut off for downloading scarface.i called them and they said this was my final warning

well im not sure what a warrant is but... my internet was shut off four about 3 hours today.when i got on firefox every thing was fine, i played some cod4, nothing was wrong.I downloaded the file madea goes to jail arround 12:30 the night before from deminoid. So around 3 PM my internet stops working.I thought hey maybe its my router and then i go to my router home page and there is a message from my isp saying i committed an illegal download infraction and my service was suspended. i called them they gave me a warning and told me to delete the file and remove utorrent, which i did.So at the time i was not using peerguardian which i usually use, and i was nabbed. This was my first time ever being caught, my isp actually knew the file path the file was downloaded to which was in a secure folder. So i would not say that an ip is useless, i think it kinda depends on your isp, if they dont care much about torrents then you may be ok because when i had at&t dsl for 3 years this shit never happened, my first month with this isp "Cox communications" i get nabbed. I was in shock

whats to block? They get your IP, so what, that's useless unless you have a static IP. most leechers have dynamic IP from their ISP.

so unless they serve a warrant to your ISP to release your personal info., having an IP is irrelevant.

video was boring...you get the same results by typing netstat in dos

woot

Here is my IP: 192.168.252.1 (its useless. why? read RFC 1918)

Would peer guardian 2 serve as a good enough block list?

nothing, bit torrent lists all the peer ip addresses and that is how they track you. What a revelation.
