Interesting.... I hadn't heard of this bug. I've definitely seen the 'you wanna delete?' button flash after watching videos. It seems to me that the sync'ing of the videos on the iTunes side just never actually knew about this change and just resync'ed anyways. Maybe this is a bug, but more likely it's just some branching of the code where they had the deletion feature and the manual management feature at the same time and then decided to throw out the management. But I feel your pain, broseph.

I knew it was too good to be true.

Question: When I had the iphone, there was a bug (I assume) where you were prompted to delete or not after having viewed a video to completion. I was able to delete the video locally just fine, but at the next sync, the video was copied back to the iphone from itunes. It had something to do with the play count not being updated in itunes before the sync IIRC.

Anyone know if this has been fixed?

thanks

Yeah sorry about that whole 'orientation' thing. By managing it means via iTunes on your computer. You can drag music and video from your library to the iphone, just like you can with all other iPods. Why they didn't give us this sooner I know not.

Sideways video? Uggh.

I tried and returned the iphone months ago. I couldn't get over a couple issues, one of which was content management. What do you mean by 'manually manage your music and videos via iTunes'? You don't mean locally, as in on the iphone itself, do you?

thanks

Couple of things I screwed up/forgot in the video:

1) You can fit more than just 9 'Webclips' ... you can fit 9 HOME SCREENS. Sweet.

2) I really suck at clicking buttons. My bad.

3) TEH BEST FEATURE EVAR: you can now manually manage your music and videos via iTunes. Why the heck this hasn't been included before, I don't know, but it's now in there. Just click the option in the iPhone main screen.
