Just a quick note to all those with bricked iPhones — you can upgrade to 1.1.3, unbrick it, and then downgrade to 1.1.2. This is all pie-in-the-sky stuff right now but it seems to be working for some folks in Vietnam of all places and it’s a hardware hack, so if you’re squeamish around a screwdriver it’s probably not for you. Fear not, though, a software hack will come along soon enough and then we’ll all be happy.

Hello all !I can finally confirm about iPhone 1.1.3 unlocked ok at 8:30PM 15/01/2008 by our team and many help from GeoHot from US, Imth from VN, and some experts about iPhone from Hackint0sh forum ! Great thanks to those awesome guys.
This method is hardware method. So have to open phone.
Status now is:
- Unlock the iPhone with firmware 1.1.3 (baseband 4.03.13)
- Downgrade the phone to 1.1.2 then jailbreak it for normally using.
- Phone will work at: firmware 1.1.2 and baseband 4.03.13.We are still researching on Unlock and keep the firmware 1.1.3 (mean jailbreak 1.1.3) …

I hear Apple purposely wanted to unbrick previously bricked iPhones with 1.1.3. Apparently they have a support mess on their hands, people bricking their iPhone and then trying to take it back… a mess.

i don’t think its possible to unlock this phone 1.1.3 4.6, i have the same problem; you need to get at least 1.1.2 and bootloader 4.6; then you can hardward unlock by downgrading bootloader to 3.9; i think you are out of luck until 1.1.4 or iphone GOD’s comes with software, which is always a posibility.
on bootloader 4.6, I say NO ’cause no secpack from 1.1.4 to downgrade bl .
im not sure about the unlock on differnt networks.. i do know you can upgrade to 1.1.3 thru itunes then you can downgrade to 1.1.1 then 1.1.2 then use nate trues update to 1.1.3 then change your lock down file back on AT&T here is where you can find how to do it.. http://modmyifone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27454

That would be a classdump of 1.1.3, the same thing we’ve been doing for every OTHER version.

If you upgrade your 1.1.2 (OTB) to 1.1.3, check your bassband if it’s changed to 04.03.13_G ? if that’is, you’re out of luck . Wait for new fw 1.1.4 out to unlock you bl with testpoint .
hi, i recently gt my iphone 1.1.2 and accidentally restored it to 1.1.3, now it is a 04.03.13_G
1- the 4th and 5th digits on hte serial numbers are 48 so im guessing its the 4.6 bootloader??? is it?
2- i tried to downgrade it but get an error(1)….i try the DFU method again and again….no luck…
3- can i proceed with the apptapp installer afta the error(1)and install 1.0.2???
4- can it be unlocked and downgraded?
it has nva been unlocked….
please help….would really appreciate it!!!!

i dont’ know if the baseband you can downgrad to anything else but what you have. at this moment i guess there are no hope, but i believe there is a way to use it with cingular, don’t know the method yet, i will do some digging… here is a excellent news if you did not upgrade you could have unlock your phone; yes software unlock. some Iphone GOD figure it out… i am in same situation as you are.. so i will let you know… sorry no help.
