YouTube’s mobile site goes live, content available for most phones, free

One of the key features of the iPhone that Apple has pushed has always been the integrated YouTube application. Helio’s line up of phones include a YouTube client as well, but for the rest of you there wasn’t much to play with.

Today you can go to m.youtube.com on pretty much any modern phone and view YouTube content, free of charge. You’ll need a data plan, of course, but that’s it; the video streams to the handset in 3GP.

You can also upload to YouTube from your handset, which means we’re going to see an explosion of crappy-looking crap crap all over the crap in the next few weeks. Please try to keep it interesting, public.
