I’ll be purchasing a PS3 on April 17 because that’s the day GT5: Prologue is hitting store shelves in the US. You can also download via the PlayStation store, but I haven’t found anything that says it will/might be cheaper than the retail version, which is $40 and is currently on pre-order from Amazon. It’s also worth noting that the date, March 18, on Amazon is incorrect.

Well, it says on GT5’s site that the download is cheaper:

Future Shop and Best Buy say March 27…
The download is usually cheaper because it’s not on a disc..and you don’t get the packaging, etc. Tis what they did with Warhawk
$40 for a demo!!!! Then another $60 for the full game!!! In the end you’re paying $100 for 1 game! This is just the kind of price scheming the game developers are dying to get away with. Anyone who buys this is just saying to the game developers that it’s okay to charge for demos.
