Sony announces 1080p projector, time for me to find my own apartment

I’m not unhappy with the 42-inch Vizio that’s sitting in my living room, but it’s only 720p and who wouldn’t want a 1080p set? My brother splashes up 720p content onto his 90-something-inch screen and that makes me uber jealous. Playing Gears of War, Assassin’s Creed, BioShock, or even Halo 3 just isn’t the same when I come home after spending a few hours at my brother’s place.

Projectors are awesome and when they’re full 1080p then it makes me feel funny. Sony has announced the VPL-VW40 with 15,000:1 contrast ratio, 12-bit panel driven full digital chassis, 200W ultra high pressure lamp, Bravia engine, SXRD chip and 24fps playback support. The VW40 throws up between 40- to 300-inches of full HD imagery. *drool* To connect all your goodies Sony included two HDMI ports, one Component, D-Sub, S-video and an RS232 port. Your ears won’t be overloaded by this projector as it has a 22dB operating volume. My HD porn collection never looked so good.

It should be available tomorrow for $3,000.
