Some of you have experienced the little problem that was discovered with the LG Rumor late last year and I know you’ve been waiting for that OTA firmware update to fix the little snafu. Well, Sprint has announced that the new firmware is readily available for download or if you’re really feeling that lazy, you can take it into your local Sprint store. To download the update yourself you simply need to follow these simple instructions: main menu>settings/tools>tools>update firmware. I don’t think you need directions to your local Sprint store, but I can happily provide that info if you e-mail me your address and CC info.
So its ok to buy one now or what?
when i try to download it from my phone it wont let me and says no update available

well yeah this exact same thing happened to me because my screen was messing up and went haywire on me. I got the phone on Dec. 26th, 2007 and went in to get a new one and the sprint tech support told me that i “purposely” broke my phone and it had physical damage to it. When i turned it in it was bad but when i got it, there were new marks and scratches on it and it completely didn’t work to the point where the screen wouldn’t turn on. i really need help
