Lookin’ for adventure/or a nice zapiekanka

Ah, the industrious Pole. Like the paper wasp and the silkworm, Poles can create something out of nothing just by applying their hard won traditions of alcoholism and extreme privation. Here we have a selection of farm vehicles made from motorcycles and old Jeeps.

I’ve never actually seen this in my Polar travels, but I’m sure it happens. My grandfather had a huge, handmade metal grinding wheel in their garage out in the country that had probably been in use since the turn of the century.

  • Love those Polish DIY tractors. These vehicles came about due to shortages under Marxist oppression. I guarded Polish cargo ships that came to U,S. in late sixties and early seventies while in US Coast Guard and I know the creativty of the Poles, very resourceful people in deed. The American people should catalog this homespun technology, for as soon as B.Husein Obama gets in power and throws this nation under the Communist train we can cope hopefully until he goes the way of Stalin and Castro! This third world technology can bring us to the future collectivist utopia dream. A brave new world seeking the best that the late 19th century had to offer!!!!!
