got a copy of 6.1 pro from the xda devs and...

a. it is faster
b. the threaded sms is a mild improvement
c. internet explorer is still a joke
d. windows mobile continues to be a giant bag of poo.

But, it looks like I'm stuck with it at least until the iphone...

a. has over-the-air exchange or zimbra sync ,
b. gets a GPS with "on-board" maps

Until then, there is no paradise.

Seriously. Windows Mobile Blows. If I had known that it would take soo much to get it into a usable state, I never would have purchased a WinMo device. And the zoom on IE will not do much good if the browser in general hasn't gotten an overhaul. Really, the only thing I want from this update is the aim style text messaging, but they will probably screw up the implementation.
