The end draws nigh, my friends, and I think you know who I’m talking about. Major Nelson has officially announced that the HD DVD player add-on has dropped from $179.99 to $129.99. The price drop is immediate here and in Canada, NZ and Australia. The five free HD DVD offer is still in effect as well. There might be some titles you’ve been wanting. Bitch all you want about the add-on being the worst player on the market, but it’s still not bad for Xbox 360 owners. Just sayin’.

why is the 360 add on the worst on the market just curious? Is it lacking features? Because all that really matters to me is it plays in 1080p and up converts to 1080p.

Alright thanks man, I really wish I could of gotten into that shit storm of PS3 fan boyism. I can’t believe they’re argueing over actual statistic. Look it up anywhere and you can clearly see the 360 is better by sheer numbers.

Well, I made that post awhile ago. I picked one up when they we’re $50. I was lucky enough to still find one that came with King Kong. If you have a Hi-Def television and a 360 you can’t go wrong. Even standard DVD’s look absolutely amazing through the player. I’m running everything through HDMI so that might make a difference.
Also you can get HD DVDs for really cheap in 100’s of different titles. It’s just an all around great deal. The best part about HD DVD’s is a lot of them have a standard DVD on one side as well as the HD DVD on the other side.
