swbug.jpgPeter the Ha and I are here in Philadelphia for the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination exhibit at The Franklin Institute. We’ll be posting photos and videos from the show throughout the weekend. Metaphors be with you.

  • fuckkkkkkkk you for that incredibly useless all text-movie. at least show SOMETHING from the exhibit. your site is truly getting worse everyday.

  • Hey jr! Maybe you should read the text in the post. “We’ll be posting photos and videos from the show throughout the weekend.”

  • I am currently rolling my eyes. The very last sentence in the video itself says, “Keep an eye on CrunchGear.com this weekend for more coverage.” Now let’s all forget our problems with a big bowl of strawberry ice cream and move on with our respective days.

    • ok. this is the last post on this silliness.

THAT was EXACTLY my problem doug.

there was NOTHING in the original post by peter ha EXCEPT for the very, very, very crap video. no text. nothing. just an intriguing headline that brought me in via my rss reader. i wrongfully assumed that there would be something of value in the movie. unfortunately there was not.

it would be appreciated if you took the comment in the spirit that it was meant – as feedback. it was and is NOT an attack. it was criticism of a vapid post. speaking down to me as a child is not appreciated in the slightest. if you don’t want my page views, so be it. just keep in mind for every one person that posts a comment there are several others who didn’t take the time.

to summarize : i ask for more CONTENT and less filler. thats it.

      enjoy your ice cream.

      • Okay, couple things here.

Peter didn’t post the video, I did. I don’t know where all this “they, their, Peter Ha” stuff is coming from. I did all of this. Peter had nothing to do with it. And the value of the content in the video is a subjective issue. I can appreciate that you didn’t care for it but don’t assume everyone else feels the same way. We showed it to a lot of people and they liked it. You didn’t. So be it, happens all the time. However…

Silliness is saying “fuckkkkkkkk you” along with everything else in that first comment of yours and trying to pass it off as some sort of constructive feedback. We get comments like that left and right and laugh them off but to see someone so staunchly defending such an aggressive comment as feedback and “NOT an attack” is a bit odd. Valuable feedback generally doesn’t start with saying “fuck you” to someone. Usually, it ends a conversation instead.

I read that comment as being from some kid that got bent out of shape about something and let the impetuousness of youth get the better of him. If you don’t want me to speak down to you as a child, you’re going to have to give me some sort of sign that you’re an adult and I’ll be more than happy to attempt to carry on a rational conversation with you. I’m 29 so depending how old you are in real life, maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle. I don’t know you from Adam but for what it’s worth, my initial impression of you based on your comments is that you’re in your early teens. That’s perfectly fine and thanks for coming to the site, we really appreciate it.

Just don’t leave a comment like that and expect us to be able to translate it into “jr wants more content and less filler but he doesn’t mean ‘fuckkkkk you’ and ‘your site is truly getting worse everyday’ as anything other than a well-thought-out critique of our site’s content.” We see comments like yours and think, “Hey look, this kid said ‘fuck you’ and then said the site gets worse every day, just like all the other kids on the site. He’s funny. Let’s tell him to take a nap.”
