Attack of the Clones: Garrison Carida of the 501st Stormtrooper Legion

The Garrison Carida members of the 501st Stormtrooper Legion are a dedicated and crazy bunch, but in a good way. Aside from their normal appearances at events like this one at the FI, they also do a ton of community service around the area like handing out toys during the holidays and visiting sick little kids at local hospitals. It’s a tight knit group that makes all their own costumes and does a darn good job of it. The build quality and attention to detail for the various trooper costumes was rather impressive and some even cost up to $1,000. That’s dedication if you ask me.
The Garrison is always looking for new members and you get to do a lot of cool stuff, so if you’re in the Pennsylvania, Delaware or West Virginia area then look them up here. Check out the 501st Legion site for a Garrison in your area. We’ll have an interview with one of the Biker Scouts later on.
Be sure to check out the gallery.

My kids were so impressed by the garrison and the exhibit- they have become a bit “Star Wars” crazy now- spending the rest of the weekend watching the films- John hadn’t seen the first three before. The boys were more excited than they’ve ever been at Disney- with the possible exception of meeting Stitch and Buzz Lightyear.
Thank you, guys, for making Star Wars really come to life for my kids. And for bringing back so many memories for me.
