Gotcha. One actual observation on my part, though, maybe (?): Symbian's worldwide market share is like 98 gabillion times that of WinMo ... or actually something like 44 million to 12 million (thereabouts). So don't go making too much fun of the EuroDude in that coffin you mentioned ... ain't close to nailed shut just yet

No no, JJ, it's not about the phone. We just figured that it was important to mention that SE was going with WinMo. Not that it had a phone with WinMo, but that, ya know, hey, it's not Symbian. Different topic, different post.

But: man, you are so paying attention! Doug? Mark down JJ550 for a "Best. Kommentor. Ever." this week, yah?

WTF? Have you been under a rock for the past 48 hours, Matt? It's called the Xperia X1 and it runs WM6 with a proprietary layer of UI on top (like the HTC Touch or T-Mob Shadow) ... actually built by HTC with SE.

How'd you manage to link to this MacWorld story and somehow not link to the nine million mobile phone blogs going all goo goo over this thing? Touchscreen, slideout QWERTY, 3mp camera, every form of HSPA you can imagine, ships all over the globe (including North America) in Q2 of this year.

And no, Symbian's not dead. SE's still gonna make Symbian phones. They even announced a few new ones this week. At that same press conference you apparently missed. Jessh.
