How a lost laptop could cost Best Buy $54 million

raelyn 2This is a tale of poor customer service and aggravated lawsuits and lost laptops, all things we love. Raelyn Campbell is suing Best Buy for $54 million after the electronics lost a laptop she’d brought in for repairs.

That seems very high, but Campbell believes that the money she’s asking for isn’t just about the lost laptop but rather for all the run-around Best Buy gave her after losing it.

It seems Best Buy wouldn’t refund the purchase price, and would only give her a gift card to use towards buying another laptop. This was after many calls to finally get them to admit it was lost.

Now she’s brought suit, which Best Buy has offered to settle, but Campbell insist on going to court. This could get very expensive for Best Buy, and the thing it should take away from the ordeal is in the customer service world, that ounce of prevention and pound of pain axiom is true.

if she really wanted media attention she should have sued for [raises pinkey to mouth] “One… Hundred… BILLION DOLLARS!”

then she shouldn’t get anything out of it. 54 million is that odd off a high priced number that best buy can pay

This lady is stupid….stupid….stupid. As a society we should be ashamed for letting lawsuits like this have any merit whatsoever. The judge should order her to pay all costs involved with this suit and disbar her idiot lawyer for even filing something like this. I’m not even sure how she makes it through everyday life without walking in front of a bus…….makes you wonder why people around the world think were so lazy and stupid.

I agree that best buy should’ve handled this situation much different but 54 million is ridiculous. This lady should be made an example of so that future idiots will stop doing the same thing.

That’s the very reason she’s sueing for so much, IDIOT!!!! it’s not the money for her. It’s to get best buys attention…. Maybe when they have to pay it, They’ll make sure no one else loses their laptop. You know sometimes you have to shock some of these big companies back to reality!
It’s not just the laptop, it’s all her personal information, that was on the laptop,
