AT&T isn’t one to be trumped by anyone (re: Verizon) so they’ve announced an unlimited voice plan for $99 for US calling with no domestic roaming charges or long distance charges. The offer is open to new and existing customers starting February 22, but this offer is limited, however, to standard wireless phones and does not include smartphones, PDAs or the iPhone. Hmm. Helio does offer the same thing, but that encompasses data as well.

Years ago AT&T, before merging with Cingular, had a $99 unlimited plan.
