Back in the day before everyone had cellphones, my teenaged brain had the idea that my friends and I should all get CB radios as a way to stay in touch and coordinate our runnings around.
It never happened, but I blame the CB’s stereotype of a tool of communications for toothless whiskey-brewin’ types. But if I tried again today, I might get somewhere. Cobra is debuting a CB system for trucks that incorporates Bluetooth, so you can pair it with your phone and use your CB handset to talk over your cell as if it itself were a CB.
And yet, somehow, people still die of cancer.

hmm…so cb’s in general fall under the hands free mobile device laws or no? i’d rather take the risk of getting red lighted for jaw jacking than get a christmas card from ol’ smokey…
