PNY goes for gamers with GeForce 9600 GT
by Matt Hickey on February 23, 2008

PNY is laying down a new graphics card that’s a GeForce with a crappy box but great stats. It’s for gamers, so you pesky video editors can skip to the next post. But if you’re a keyboard-hunched killer, dig these groovy stats from the press release after the jump:

512MB GDDR3 RAM

650MHz proc

NVIDIA unified architecture with GigaThread™ technology

Full Microsoft DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0 support

16x full-screen anti-aliasing

True 128-bit floating point high dynamic-range (HDR) lighting

NVIDIA Quantum Effects™ physics processing technology

NVIDIA PureVideo™ HD technology

OpenGL 2.1 support

NVIDIA ForceWare Unified Driver Architecture (UDA)

Two dual-link DVI outputs support 2560×1600 resolution displays (at 60Hz)

It’s PCI Express and should run around $200. I’m heading to my local Fry’s today to see if they’re in stock, it’s a dope sounding card.
