We know that Verizon’s been working towards a BYOH (Bring Your Own Handset) model for a little while now, and word is its set to publish the first version of its specs on the service on March 19th at the Open Device Development Conference.

No word yet on when it will launch the service itself, though it has promised to light up the open initiative before the end of this year.
