1.1.4 firmware for iPhone, iPod Touch out now, update in iTunes

Wow, it looks like firmware 1.1.4 for the iPhone and iPod Touch is out after all. Last week we heard it wasn’t coming anytime soon, that the “right around the corner” leak was a joke. Well the joke’s real, because it’s out today. Nothing major is updated as far as we can tell yet, but it adds “bug fixes”. What they are, we’re not sure yet.

And if you’re Jailbroken, trod lightly, as this update will un-jailbreak your iPod Touch or iPhone.

  • So far the only thing I noticed was that the iMap feature added bus stop icons. It doesn’t tell you the route number, just where the bus stops are located. This featured with the transit authority’s website makes getting around town a little easier.

    There is a rumor that it allows you to install third party apps that you BUY/download off iTunes…Don’t quote me though…
