Videooo: Final Fantasy VII on NES

Someone, for some reason (probably “because I can”) ported Final Fantasy VII over to the NES. Apparently it’s the entire original, wildly overrated PlayStation game in one small ROM. Can we expect an English translation soon? A fan translation couldn’t be any worse than the first one we had to deal with, of course.

Hardly complete…. No Yuffie and no Cid either.
Wildly overrated? Nah, you just had to be into this whole FF stuff to get hooked!

I bet I sank more hours into the Final Fantasy series than anyone else here on staff. FF6 is the best, hands down.

You are the only other person i have heard say that. Cause most haven’t played FF6. It was by far the best one ever made. And yes I agree FF7 was way overrated. Mostly due to the fact that it was the first rpg to fully incorporate PS1 graphics and high quality sounds. But i ave to admit that the materia system was pretty intuitive. But the lack of armor and relics left it wanting for me. Genji glove and Offering all the way :D

i downloaded this game from piratebay. it’s kinda hard to play considering i cannot read a language that looks like pigeon tracks. i never played final fantasy vii for the playstation. too many damned buttons on those new consoles. i’m not sure where to go or what to do. am i supposed to learn japanese or something? i think all games should be down converted to an eight bit system. anyone know how to translate from japanese to english. and also how to hack roms?

1) That music is not FFVII’s.
2) Why are there trees in the city?
3) I get through prolly a minute of this, then I jump ahead to about 2minutes 30 secs, and it’s STILL THE FRIGGIN’ BATTLE against I do NOT know what.
This =/= hardly complete.
Also: FFVII is overrated, but nowhere near as awful as saying “overrated” connotates to people.
