Fingerprint door lock incorporates the proven technology. Fingerprint reader scanning is the most mature and tested type of biometric technology. Recent studies on biometrics have shown that compared to the hand method, fingerprint is more accurate and cost-effective. The duplication of biometric fingerprint technology is virtually impossible, only one in one billionth of a chance. Biometric security guarantees a positive method of user identification with something that cannot be lost, replicated or stolen. Adel Trinity 778 is a best selling fingerprint lock in the world.
The Adel lock is a piece of ****. Only works when it wants to and their customer service is non-existant. I've e-mailed them four times and called twice with no response. Don't buy this!!!!

Here's a version from Kwikset, available at your local Home Depot or Lowe's and fits into a standard deadbolt for your front door.

Couple things I would change about it:
1.) Have the ability to turn off the button's beeping sound when entering your pin number to activate the scanner.
2.) Enable a one touch scanning feature so you don't even have to enter a pin number every time you want it to scan.

(My name links to picture of my [dirty/worn] lock.

By the way, this has been extremely useful for parties where only select friends could have access to my room to use my bathroom instead of waiting in line at the other two, and for the ladies to leave their purses in a secured area. It's like a VIP area. ;P
