I too signed up for the 5gbt plan and they told me it was "just like unlimited because she has never seen anyone go over 5gbts" so i got the plan they sent me a 120.00 bill for overage charges then they won't let me cancel becuase it is passed the 30 days so they want me to pay 175.00 to end the 2 year contract. I want to sue them. Anybody have any luck with this?

I too purchased the wireless mobile internet through verizon thinking it was "unlimited". I found out about the "5G limits" by accident when I was trying to access my bill online. That part of system was down so I was just looking around and found it. Needless to say I only purchased it 2 days ago. Actually, my husband did but the account is in my name. So I walked my happy azz in there and told them they misrepresented the product and wanted my money back and got it! I will be sure and inform everyone I know about the deception.

last year i signed up for the mobile broadband card.
first month was free...it was great-we had internet on our farm after dealing with satellite through WildBlue and getting raped in the ass by them. Mobile broadband was the only other option besides dial up.

anyways-1st month: $0.00. Awesome.
First bill: $2500.00. Crap my pants and cry because rent's due.
Lady on the phone couldn't believe what she was seeing. said it was by far the highest bill they'd ever had.
She refunded it.

I cut back on internet almost compeletly-i only use it for work anyways-so that's all i did.
2nd bill: $1100.00 freaking dollars!!!!

Got that reversed, canceled it asap.

unlimited my ass.

A few months ago I got Verizon Wireless internet, the 5 GB plan. The first couple of bills were normal and accurate. Today's bill was $1355.00!!!!! It would have taken me about 93,000 emails to reach that! The plan is under my husband's name, so he called...well, he prayed first, lol, then he called. They said that the computer registers usage and it was accurate, BUT this ONE time they would wave the bill completely as an error on OUR part. Is it possible to have a "secure" wireless connection hacked?

I thought other carriers have had class actions suits about unlimited services being advertised as such but not truly being unlimited.
