Facebook today launched a new music section with built-in integration with Apple’s iTunes. You find your favorite band’s page, where you can listen to new music, interact with them and their community, and even purchase tracks or albums.
Online music stores aren’t new, they’re a dime a dozen, and that’s why Facebook, instead of making its own, partnered with Apple to give users access to iTunes’s vast library. Click on the “buy now” link for any song or album and you’re taken to the music store within iTunes. Pretty slick, Facebook.
Music on Facebook [Facebook]

Listen to music? Ten seconds as in iTunes? Whats the point if you cant listen to the whole song? Totally meaningless.
Can’t get past the atrocious title, if you want to publish something and be taken at least half seriously CHECK YOUR FUCKING GRAMMAR!
Mama, get mah apostrophe gun. There’s an ‘S’ in the yard.
you can already do this on this site called myspace.com
http://www.myspace.com
Where is your editor? Ah, there he is… *SLAP* learn the correct usage of apostrophes, godammit. Your headline is painful to read.
Nice. The headline reads: Facebook partner is with iTunes for music store.
Fixed. Matt is on crack.
whatchu tawkin’ ’bout Hickey? The “buy now” links in the “Music Player” can be configured to point to *any* link you want… so you could just as easily input links to AmazonMP3… Am I missing something? (if so, Face should probably make it more OBVIOUS)
Please fix “taking to the music store”!
Yea I heard facebook was parterning with Itunes for a music store online. I heard they are using this new shopping cart software that will let you purchase from your computer or even cellphone.
