We called up our contacts at RIM, makers of the Blackberry, to get an official response regarding today’s announcement that the iPhone is going enterprise. RIM had a lot to say about the unwelcome new competition, summing it up nicely:

  • Even though I’m a total blackberry and BES fanboy I think that windows mobile 07 is going to really grab on to the enterprise market these enterprise products end up killing an exchange server with the bigillion mapi calls they make.

I’ve never worked with Lotus Domino so I don’t know about these options connecting to that, anyone know?
