Chip art: tiny etchings lurking in your PCB

How cool is this? Bored engineers personalizing their chips with extremely tiny etchings of their favorite cartoon characters, code names for the chipsets, and just generally cool things. There’s a lot of detail there, but you can only see it with a high-powered microscope, which is exactly what the guys have done here. They have a ton of great pictures at the gallery; scroll down a bit to find them. Here’s a couple for the lazy among you:
