Nokia’s N810 Internet Tablet quietly got a price drop this week from $479 to $389 MSRP. Math says that’s a drop of $90, making the lusted-after, QWERTY-wielding, touch-screening handheld even more desirable.

It also puts it on even footing with the iPod Touch, one of its only real competitors. While I’m a fan of the Touch, the N810 is now firmly on my super-portable radar.

  • Think they might have stripped out some accessories to make this reduction:
    # Nokia Travel Charger AC-4
    # Nokia Car Holder CR-89
    # Pouch CP-223

  • Also, know that it does not support A2DP (Bluetooth stereo) yet. I mean after all we are just in 2008, maybe when Bluetooth 3.0 come we might have a N800-810 with 2.0 support.

  • Here’s how to get an even BETTER price, courtesy of Internet Tablet Talk.com. Use Nokia promo code SCENEZINE at the NokiaUSA store and receive an additional 15% off, making the Nokia USA N810 price $373.99 with free FedEx 2 day shipping. I know the code works in several Nokia country stores as well. I have an N810 and really love it. I hope the Nokia price drop makes it easier for others to enjoy the N810 as much as I do.

  • I checked the product page yesterday and it was indeed $389.99 including shipping (I have the screenshot), but this morning I noticed it’s up to $439.00. What a sketchy move!!
