New OLED manufacturing process from GE means OLEDs are actually going to be practical soon

OLEDs, the little successors to LEDs that are made of the stem cells of baby unicorns, are about to get a lot cheaper to manufacture.

GE has found a way to make the OLEDs in a roll-to-roll fashion, meaning in essence making them affordable. Really affordable. In theory, the super-low-power OLEDs could be almost disposable, and offer more realistic light and color than standard LEDs.

This is good news, as now we can look forward to OLED laptops, cellphones, and things that haven’t even been thought of yet.

  • we could have had OLED screens 10years ago if we had demanded for our government to stop spending our money on bombs. now that they are the new talk amoung geeks should be a slap in the face. wake up chumps…

    • You sir, are a moron…

Technology is only held back from greed of cashing in on the “lifespan” of that technologies generation.

You could of had dvd players in the early 90’s too but the market for, VHS and LaserDisc was not exhausted yet.

There is no reason to jump years ahead on a new design or technology when so many varietys of current products can be marketed and sold to the masses.

It does not matter if the said product will help anyone or anything…. the only drive is greed.

I garuntee if the general population were still happy with VHS, we would still be using them today…

AND…As far as using “our” money to make bombs.
We are trillions of dollars in debt, We have no money. The general idea of money having value is now just a facade, it has only remained as a level of control.

I don’t think I would be calling others a chump if you cant pull your head from your ass.
