Oh Casio, I love thee G-Shock watches so. I love you even more now that you’re implementing solar panels into your watches. The G5500C model is equipped with the Tough Solar Power Technology that combines a highly sensitive solar panel with a high capacity rechargeable battery to help with high-load functions. Another really unique (I think) feature is the automatic illumination of the display when it’s angled towards your peepers. But don’t worry; it’s only triggered when the available light is below a pre-determined level. Most of the features you’d expect are included on the new G-Shock as well as a battery level indicator. They’re available now in red, white and green for $120.
