		<description>So let me get this straight: I count 5 manufacturers in the table, and yet there is &#039;no competition&#039;?

Also, maybe a year on year comparison might be the right one, just to check, you know, if Xmas discounts have any kind of effect there...?

I realize that if you &#039;saw this coming&#039;, you need to try to prove it&#039;s true somehow, but tell you what: do the same comparison for 4-5 other consumer electronics products in the same period, then get back to us if you see anything very different... :)

Must be a slow news week...</description>

The Sharp Aquos blu-ray player was 370.00 the day after Warner made its announcement. It dropped to about 320.00, then back up to 370.00 and is now about 350.00. All at Amazon.

In other words, the pool of data that the Tom&#039;s Hardware story was based on was not necessarily related to actual market conditions. Also ignoring the seasonal differences and post-Christmas markdowns. 

And you all created a story where none exists. 

Isn&#039;t April Fools in another couple of weeks?</description>
