I use the pearl because I don't want to look like a douche with the belt clip nor a pervert with an unsightly bulge in my pocket. The keyboard is just as fast as a full QWERTY after a few weeks anyway.

I've been using a Pearl as my work BB for over a year now and find I can type faster than my colleagues on their full-QWERTY models. I bang out some emails, I tell ya. :)

If you can't type just as fast with the pearl as with any of the others, I guess you haven't sent enough sms messages as I have. Sad? Who's to say? I'm not the one complaining about a keyboard.
