by Peter Ha on March 13, 2008

Corsair has just announced the world’s first high performance memory modules for the Mac. They’re low latency and tuned for the new Penryn-based MacBooks and MacBook Pros. The new modules feature Serial Presence Detect profile characteristics, which basically amounts to Macs being able to allocate memory when needed in the most optimum capacity. They’ve been benchmarked on the following and have revealed a 28 percent overall improvement.

Adobe Photoshop: Import Video
Adobe Photoshop: Photo Compression
XBench: Memory Test
VMware Fusion: Vista tests
Apple BootCamp: Vista tests

The VSA4GSDSKIT667C4 low latency modules are available now and retail for $160.
