According to Spain’s official PlayStation magazine, PlayStation.RevistaOficial, GTA IV will support up to 16 players online and will include 15 different game modes. There will be team and solo game types within the single player game mode maps. The ability to tweak in-game options was also revealed that include weapons selection and traffic density. Known game types include the following:

I’m assuming that English is not your first language, Miha. GTA IV will have some online features and all you have to do to play it online is buy the game when it comes out. I hope that clears things up for you. :)

GTA Online won’t load for the PS3 system! No shit you need a cable or wireless modem….. I was ables to play online for a few hours and now it just wont load. I thought it was my internet connection but I reset it a bunch and nothin happened. I had met someone online right before i logged off who is having the same trouble. Is anyone else not able to play online for PS3?????
Yeah, I’m having the same problem, it keeps kicking me off and says returning to single player mode… AHHHH somebody fix it!!

Had both these problems, kept saying cannot connect to game provider please try again, following day this had gone and I could get online, started a deathmatch group closing in on the enemy and we all started getting kicked out of multiplayer one by one, I nearly won this game without seeing anyone cos they all got kicked out and sure enough I was next, straight back to single player mode. Its not annoying in any way is it?
I’ve had this issue as well.
Seems to run ok between 01:00 – 07:30 GMT (British Time) but outwith those times it is a pig trying to get onto the server, there must be too many GTA fans online at one time, you think Rockstar would’ve thought of this before they released the best selling game of all time?!?

Yea i have the same problem by not letting me connect to the game provider. I have a modom and everything but it keeps kickin me off!! i just wanna play with some other people but it wont let me! O and why wont my phone go up to the numbers to dial in cheat codes when i push the up button for a second time? it just makes a beeping noise and wont go up..??
Sometimes I can get on and things are very quiet (minimal people) but I can play.. Sometimes when I get on I am the only one in the game. Sometimes when I get on I get disconnected. Sometimes I get ‘Connecting to game provider…’ then ‘Cannot connect to game…’.
I have got a new wireless router (but use a wired connection for the station) seemed to work fine before I got this one. I’m changing it back to my old model. I’ve seen a whole lotta people with the same issue as me and theirs were caused by the Belkin N router.
PS3 online gaming and the Belkin N are not compatible.
Get the N1 (or the G). They works OK.

I have a belkin router and most of the time it works but I still have experienced the same problems from time to time. Is this also why soul caliber 4 has lots of lag in the online gaming ? Thought maybe I needed a better ethernet cable . Going to buy another router . Thanks for info.
in the case if your router is giving u some hard time just go to ur router firewall settings and disable what is called SPI firewall. or you can open up some ports. but not sure which ports needs to be open call ur router company they can help u with that.
