Video: Electrolux’s new smart oven takes guesswork out of ruining dinner
by Matt Hickey on March 18, 2008

I love living here in 2008, The Future, where we actually have smart ovens. Take the Electrolux Inpiro, an “intellegent auto-focus cooking oven” for example. You tell it how you want to cook your food, and it uses sensors and other sorcery to figure out what your cooking and uses the data to cook it precisely the way it should be.

I enjoy the trial-and-error aspect of cooking, it means that when a dish comes out perfect, it was from skill, not pushing a button. But I also know there are those of you out there who can’t boil water, and these new smart ovens mean you can make your own good food.
