Tips for left-eyed photographers

Joe McNally gives some tips for folks who focus with their left-eye. It’s a little lengthy, but if you’re keen on improving your image sharpness at slower shutter speeds then maybe you should watch. The rest of us can pass on this, but it never hurts because you might pick up a tip or two.

  • while I am a left-eye photographer – I found the video to be more about tips to holding the camera steady during slower shutter shots. Putting the camera into your shoulder looks uncomfortable, but I do find that I put my elbow into my hip to help stabilize my shots. And on the shoulder holder note: you would need a big body camera like the Canon 1Ds or the Nikon equivalent, or a smaller body with the battery grip.
